November 28, 2017 – Anticipation
After a really long month, we were finally able to bring our premature daughter home from the NICU! Every day when we woke up, we imagined how much life would be different when this little girl came home. Home, where this sweet angel belongs! Looking back to the time when we first discovered we were pregnant, there was so much anticipation of how she would change our little world for the better.
I think on Isaiah the prophet who wrote: “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel,” (Isaiah 7:14). Then, two chapters later; “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). I can read these verses and I quickly realize that I’m not the first person who anticipated a child and waited patiently for them. That child came and His name was Jesus! Has He changed your world?
